Data from state public records show that over 2,000 nursing home groups gave nearly $1.3 million to candidates for state office in 1998. The information is from the website of The National Institute on Money in State Politics at www.followthemoney.org.
  • In Missouri, 277 nursing home groups gave contributions totalling $62,941 to candidates for 1998 state elections.

  • The Illinois Council on Long Term Care PAC gave nearly $80,000 to state candidates in the 1998 election.
