The 'God forbid' gang strikes again
"What if, God forbid, something happened to Jan when she was governor? If she's sick, I don't know that what she's doing is best for the state." Aaron Russo, one of several Republicans in the race for Governor of Nevada, sniping at political opponent Jan Jones, two-term Democratic mayor of Las Vegas for a story in the New York Times reporter Frank Bruni in his August 4, story, " Las Vegas Mayor Runs for Governor, Undaunted by Cancer."

"No one above the level of morning radio would make fun of an infirmity." "Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher" head writer Chris Kelly in his Aug. 4 New York Times op-ed, "What, Exactly, Are the Rules of Ridicule?" Kelly, who has clearly missed catching a lot of the handicappist bigotry that's floating around, continued, "Does Linda Tripp suffer an infirmity?
