Where's Theodore?

In yesterday's blog entry I reported that TV news in San Diego was all het up about access attorney Theodore Pinnock suing La Mesa businessses over lack of access. The station hadn't gotten a comment from Pinnock or anyone else on the pro-access side; they'd only said that Pinnock was "out of the country."

Turns out he's in Saipan, in Micronesia, which qualifies as pretty far "out of the country."

And not just vacationing, either. Pinnock "is this year's special speaker for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Disability Workshop that started Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency Saipan SandCastle." That's from the Saipan Tribune.

Ain't Google News amazing?

More from the Saipan Tribune:

OVR staff and Disability Employment Awareness Month committee chair Arlene Yamagata said Pinnock has been a role model not only in the United States but all over the world.

I guess it's all in your perspective.

Here's the link to the story, although the connection seems iffy; sometimes I was able to access the page, other times not.
