New Orleans Nursing Home Series-Update

A reader found a link for the story Money=Clout which I quoted from in yesterday's post. You should go read it.
Yesterday I said I couldn't find a valid source for the news item that nursing homes were among the last places to be evacuated. This morning a story on that is in a lot of papers, sent out by the Knight Ridder wire. That story originates at the Chicago Tribune and can be read here.

COMMENT-BODY:Here is a link to a new story about the St. Bernard Parish nursing home where so many needlessly died. Apparently they were offered a bus to evacuate, but the administrator refused to evacuate. I hope she goes to jail: http://www.nola.com/newslogs/tporleans/index.ssf?/mtlogs/nola_tporleans/archives/2005_09.html#078275
